Youth-to-chaperone ratio: To accommodate as many youths as possible, your group will maintain a 4:1 youth-to-chaperone ratio. All adults must be registered for security purposes. If you have less than 4 youth that is ok, but you will need to have at least 1 chaperone. Thank you for your adherence to this request.

There is no parking available at the Alaska Airlines Hangar. If you need disabled parking, please reach out to Alessandra.frichtl@alaskaair.com to request a parking badge for the Alaska Airlines Hangar.
Please park at the Ted Stevens International Airport snow dump parking lot off Lake Hood. There will be a shuttle provided to the hangar.
Directions for parking:
- Take W. International Airport Rd.
- Merge right onto Postmark Dr.
- Turn right onto Lake Hood Dr.
- Destination on your left (look for the Alaska Airlines Aviation Day event signage)

No, this event is free of charge.
You do not need to sign up for activities in advance. Though there may be lines for some activities.

A light snack and beverages will be provided for the youths that are attending the event. We ask that chaperones refrain from taking snacks but help yourself to beverages. If a youth has special food requirements, please bring your own lunch that meets those requirements.
Registration will close at least one (1) week prior to the event or when we reach capacity.
Groups already registered must finalize their attendee list one (1) week prior to the event.
If you need to pick up your child, you’ll need to contact your child’s group leader or chaperone. Pick-ups will be at the Alaska Airlines Hangar. (See Map)

Yes, you can drop off your child at the check-in facility, but they must be chaperoned by an adult using our 4:1 ratio.
Please remember that all youths must be chaperoned and part of an organized group at the event.
This event is not open to the public, so only adult chaperones will be permitted to attend.
Yes, all youths must be chaperoned by members of their group. Alaska Airlines Aviation Day is not providing chaperones.
The Aviation Day program is specifically designed to engage youths in hands on activities and spark their interest in an aviation career at a young age. From experience, we have determined that participants must be at least 11 years old.
